Fairbanks Native Association

A nonprofit organization

The Fairbanks Native Association (FNA) has been a powerful and influential voice for Alaska Natives and American Indians in Alaska’s Fairbanks North Star Borough since our founding in 1963. Incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization under the laws of the State of Alaska in 1967, FNA is governed by a 9-member Board of Directors, all of whom are Alaska Native and/or American Indian, and led by a majority Native Senior Management team.

FNA fulfills our mission “to improve the quality of life for individuals and families by promoting justice, healing, and wellness in our community” by providing culturally affirming education, behavioral health, and social services and advocating for justice on behalf of the Fairbanks area Native community. We are committed to growing and enhancing existing programs and embarking on new initiatives to meet the current and emerging needs of those we serve, advancing our vision of “a unified, healthy, and empowered Native community that embraces all cultures.”
