Indigenous Pride LA

Indigenous Pride LA is Los Angeles' only Pride organization and event that celebrates Two Spirit, Indigiqueer, and Indigenous LGBTQPAI+ culture, identities, and heritage.

Our History

Indigenous Pride LA was founded by Two Spirit, Indigiqueer, and Indigenous LGBTQPAI+ leaders from across Southern California. The idea of Indigenous Pride LA was created by two women: a Navajo trans woman and a Yaqui cis woman.

Indigenous Pride Los Angeles recognizes the need to have a space where Indigenous people from all lands, waters, and nations can meet and celebrate our indigenous heritage, cultures, and identities. In our homelands and communities, we acknowledge that we cannot live in our truths because of the effects colonization and missionization had on our peoples. In addition, Indigenous Pride LA also acknowledges that Two Spirit, Indigiqueer, and Indigenous LGBTQPAI+ individuals have limited resources and access at most pride events in which we can not celebrate our unique identities.

Our Team

Indigenous Pride LA's Board is comprised of Two Spirit, Indigiqueer, and Indigenous LGBTQPAI+ leaders from across Southern California.
