Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives Taskforce of Colorado

A nonprofit organization

The MMIR Task Force of Colorado is a volunteer run grassroots organization that provides leadership, policy development,  training, data compilation, advocacy and support related to the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous relatives in the state of Colorado.

Although we do collaborate with other MMIR groups across the country, we do not do national work. Our focus is MMIR with a specific tie to the state of Colorado.

Our Task Force led the creation of the legislation that created the Office of Missing Indigenous Relatives under the Department of Public Safety and the implementation of the Missing Indigenous Person Alert statewide.
