Native American Youth and Family Center

A nonprofit organization

The Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA) was founded in 1974 by parent and elder volunteers who were concerned about the low graduation rates of their youth. They organized after-school sports and tutoring activities to keep youth engaged in community and culture. Incorporating as a 501(c)(3) in 1994, NAYA grew its programming to better serve the needs of the community.

Our mission is to enhance the diverse strengths of our youth and families in partnership with the community through cultural identity and education. Impacting the lives of more than 10,000 individuals each year, we believe that traditional cultural values are integral to self-determination: NAYA’s wraparound programs serve everyone from infants to elders.
