At NM Social Justice and Equity Institute, we work to address environmental and health inequities impacting Indigenous and historically underserved communities through advocacy, education, and community-centered initiatives.

Using a health equity lens, NMSJEI empowers communities to create meaningful systems change by addressing the long-term impacts of environmental injustice, institutional racism, and intergenerational trauma. Our work focuses on environmental justice, community wellness, cultural respect, educational access, and improving health outcomes for future generations.

Through community engagement, educational resources, workforce development, and public health advocacy, we are committed to building healthier, more equitable, and sustainable communities.
