NNAHRA Foundation Programs

Tribal Human Resource Professional (THRP I and THRP II)

Drummond Woodsum and the NNAHRA have partnered to provide the Tribal Human Resources Professional (THRP) Certification Program. Since its inception in 2008, THRP Certification has been recognized as an essential credential for HR professionals working in Indian Country to further their knowledge and professional expertise. This professional development program provides professionals and tribal leaders with an opportunity to become more proficient in relevant topics, trends, legislation, and regulations unique to tribal governments and their enterprises.

Tribal Management Professional (TMP)

A comprehensive training program designed to enhance participants’ managerial skills and capabilities in a culturally sensitive and contextually relevant manner. The 3-day training modules covered are: Leadership 101 and Advanced, Talent Acquisition, Behavioral Interviewing, Performance Management Expectations & People Management, and Quiet Quitting & Engagement. 

Tribal Adjudication Professional (TAP)

Training for Tribes and Tribal Organizations who are working to comply with federal suitability requirements, and for those who wish to improve their existing programs. 2.5 Day immersive program with hands-on learning and real-world application of adjustment principles. 

Fundraising Efforts

We are fundraising to strengthen Tribal HR professionals and leadership through targeted investment in education, development, and future growth:

• 40% will provide scholarships to support promising emerging leaders

• 30% will sustain and expand our current HR education curricula and ensure our training costs remain affordable.  

• 30% will fuel the development of future programs through our Capital Campaign, enhancing our training platform, and updating and modernizing our curriculum.
