Plenty Doors Community Development Corporation

A nonprofit organization

Mission | The mission of the Plenty Doors Community Development Corporation is to improve our communities through economic development, individual and community capacity building, business development, promotion and preservation of culture, environment and food sovereignty.

Vision | Our name, Plenty Doors, is the name of a cherished Apsáalooke relative. We chose her name intentionally — to say that our work celebrates the dignity of ordinary people, whose daily efforts and tenacity offer pathways of transformation and hope in the life of our Nation. Our values are those we seek to quietly embody in all our efforts: reliability, tenacity, stewardship, collaborative, and dignity -- lived out by everyday people.

Values | We strive to embody the following values in all our dealings as board, executive team and staff:

Asset-Focused– Capacity-focused, resourceful, relentless.

Trustworthy– Ethically serious, honest, reliable.

Dignity-Affirming– Compassionate, respectful, independence-affirming.

Vigilant– Disciplined, accountable, sustainability-oriented.

Community Building – Inclusive, a-political, culturally intentional.

Promise | Guided by the dignity of ordinary people and the values we embody — Asset-Focused, Trustworthy, Dignify-Affirming, Vigilant and Community Building — Plenty Doors CDC promises to deliver tangible change in five areas that shape Apsáalooke daily life:

Infrastructure – Modern, ecologically sound systems for water, sanitation, energy, and community spaces that enable safe homes and thriving businesses.

Homes – Accessible, affordable, energy-efficient housing that families want to own and can finance with confidence.

Businesses – Thriving, sustainable, locally grown enterprises that create jobs, circulate wealth within our Nation, and reduce economic leakage.

Sustainability – A resilient organization with transparent systems and reliable programs that endure beyond grants or outside dependence.

People – Knowledgeable, skilled leaders, teachers, and caregivers, shaped by Apsáalooke values, who care for one another and prepare the next generation.

Mandate |  To perpetuate the good work that has been started beyond the founders of Plenty Doors CDC.
