About Seven Generations United Association (SGUA)
Seven Generations United Association (SGUA) is an Indigenous-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring the relationship between land, food, culture, and community through Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK).
Founded by Mohawk Nation (Akwesasne) Wolf Clan member Diosa Hall (Tsakokweni), SGUA works at the intersection of land stewardship, food sovereignty, education, and cultural preservation—serving Indigenous and underserved communities across the East Coast, with active programming in New York and North Carolina.
Our mission is to promote holistic healing and long-term sustainability for the next seven generations by reconnecting people to the land, water, and traditional food systems.
🌱 WHAT WE DO
SGUA develops hands-on, community-based programs that bring people back to the land through:
• Indigenous land stewardship & ecological restoration
• Invasive species education and removal
• Native plant identification and replanting
• Food sovereignty education and traditional cooking workshops
• Youth and workforce development programs
• Community meals, cultural gatherings, and TEK teachings
We believe that food sovereignty begins with healthy soil and water—and that restoring ecosystems is essential to restoring culture, health, and community resilience.
🌎 WHY IT MATTERS
Indigenous knowledge systems have sustained ecosystems for generations. Today, those systems are at risk—along with the land itself.
Across many regions, invasive species, land neglect, and disconnection from traditional food systems are impacting both environmental health and Indigenous communities.
SGUA addresses this by combining ancestral knowledge with modern education and hands-on action—creating pathways for healing, learning, and sustainability.
