Through Piscataway Eyes

Through Piscataway Eyes (TPE), Inc. is dedicated to fostering a resilient future for the Piscataway Conoy Tribe. Our overarching objectives are to empower the Piscataway Conoy Tribal Community; nurture the next generation of leaders; document, record, and share Piscataway Histories; facilitate access to vital resources, services, and direct aid; raise support of long-term and modern solutions; and cultivate a sustainably prosperous tribal infrastructure for generations to come.

The organization was formed to address the immediate needs of our tribal community and break intergenerational cycles of poverty, injustice, and disparagement that were set in motion when European colonists first settled on our homelands. Over 30% of the Piscataway Conoy Tribal Community is currently sitting below the national poverty level, with several tribal households less than half-an-hour way from our nation’s capital that do not have running water, adequate sewage, and other basic utilities.
