$15,000 Goal

We seek funds to secure equipment, field space, and snacks for our weekly, all-ages, Community games!  These free events are open to all ages and genders, and no experience or equipment is needed.  With such high demand in the winter months, we seek funds to rent indoor field space.   We teach and facilitate the traditional ball game (lacrosse) of the Dakota/ Ojibwe/ Ho-Chunk whose lands we reside on.   We also gather medicines, make lacrosse sticks, and gather in many other strengthening ways.

We are the only Native lacrosse organization that was started by an all-Native group to serve the region.  Founded in 2014 by five Native organizers and coaches who represented Dakota, Ojibwe, Winnebago, Seneca and Odawa nations - we kept our focus on being grounded in community and guided by ceremony.   Today our efforts extend outside of the Twin Cities where we travel to assist outstate, national and international communities start their own local traditional lacrosse games.

Our vision is to foster a life-long sustainable appreciation of lacrosse in Native youth and familieS in the Twin Cities metro area and across the region.

Our mission is to promote resiliency and wellbeing through lacrosse, to enable our youth to claim their cultural, physical and spiritual strength as leaders and athletes through Our Game.
