At Buffalo Youth Nation Project, we are guided by the wisdom of our ancestors and the strength of our youth. As a Native-led nonprofit rooted in the Wind River Reservation of Wyoming, we work to restore food sovereignty, cultural connection, and wellness by caring for our bison relatives and feeding our communities.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to nourish the body, spirit and identity of Indigenous youth through traditional foods, cultural education and community support. We do this through school-based nutrition programs, distribution of bison meat, emergency assistance for children in transition and in foster care, and a deep commitment to restoring our sacred relationship with the Buffalo, Tatanka Oyate.
We need your help to continue this work. Your donation allows us to provide warm beds and backpacks to children in need through our Nake Nula Waun (I am ready) program, to serve bison meat in Native schools through our partnership with the Cheyenne River Buffalo Authority, and to grow our own bison herd-ensuring that future generations will know the power of cultural restoration and self-determined care.
When you give, you are not just supporting a program, you are investing in Indigenous strength, healing, and a future led by the heartbeat of the Buffalo.
