Powering Sovereignty: 2026 Growth Initiative

Native Nuclear's Board of Directors has established a $500,000 fundraising goal for 2026 to expand its mission of connecting Native American communities to opportunities in the nuclear energy sector.

This campaign represents a pivotal step in scaling our impact. Funds raised will directly support the growth of our scholarship and mentorship programs, enabling more Native students and professionals to access pathways into one of the nation’s most critical and rapidly evolving industries.

In addition to program expansion, this effort will allow Native Nuclear to hire a full-time Executive Director, strengthening organizational capacity and ensuring sustained, strategic growth. With dedicated leadership, we will strengthen partnerships with academic institutions, industry leader; and community stakeholders to broaden awareness of nuclear energy career opportunities across Native communities.

This work comes at a critical moment; as the U.S. Department of Energy advances new processes to expand nuclear energy development across communities, including on and near Native lands, there is an urgent need to ensure Native voices are informed, prepared, and actively engaged in shaping this future.

Through this campaign, Native Nuclear is building the infrastructure required to meet that moment, expanding access, increasing representation, and supporting the next generation of Native leaders in energy development.
